worried

I'm really concerned about my future...I mean especially matura exam and college. This day showed me that my english still isn't as good as I would it like to be. I have got problems with listenings and readings. What's strange I havn't difficulties with writing. On my today's english lesson we did exactly listening and reading. I couldn't focuse on exercises. I made few silly mistakes. All I can say to my defence is that I was really sleepy and tired. But I noticed that it isn't easy for me to work at school. When I am at home I deal it better. The only one way for me is to work harder...really hard. Maybe you have some advices for me to improve listening and reading.

Hi,It's great you came back.
I would advice you could watch BBC or other English channels ,listen a lot of songs and read English books.
I systematically watch CNN.I don't understand many words but is much better than initially.I also noticed my reading is good by then. You can spend time watching it 15-20 minutes and you'll see progress:)

That's right what Nicole said. You can also start downloading and watching movies I think it's a little more interesting than BBC and so. For example I've seen all Heroes and Prison Break seasons without lector. Sometimes I was turning on english subtitles.

Hey, I think I've got same problem. It's still very hard for me to understand what the other people are saying, especially when they do it in a speedy way.

You don't have to be worried about your matura exam. I think your skills are sufficient to pass it. And if you want I can help. ;)

One more thing - I am not sure whether "some advices" is a correct form. You can write "a piece of advice" or "some pieces of advice".
