Hello!
About one week ago I posted a message regarding the idiom "wake up and smell the coffee". There are at least two more expressions with the verb "wake up".

First of all, there is the idiom "wake up call".
WAKE UP CALL

Secondly, you may come across another idiom "wake up on the wrong side of the bed".
WAKE UP ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE BED

I have made my research on the Internet and most likely you will run into the synonym of this idiom.

"GET UP ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE BED"
get up on the wrong side of the bed

I hope you will find these expressions useful. Enjoy you day and see you soon!

Hi everyone!
How are you doing? Are you o.k.? I hope so.
Today I have for you another English idiom. I think it will be more easy to memorize it because you could link the idiom with the music band.

BE IN DIRE STRAITS

Below you can find the meaning of this idiom and some examples how to use it.

be in dire straits

I hope you will never ever be in dire straits. By the way you could learn two new words: "dire" and "strait".
What do they mean?

DIRE

STRAIT

Lastly I would like to present the band called Dire Straits.
