Syarhey Kryvets - (Belarusian: Сяргей Крывец; Russian: Сергей Вячеславович Кривец) ; born June 8, 1986 in Hrodna) is a Belarusian footballer (midfielder) playing currently for Lech Poznań.

He scored the side's first ever Champions League goal against Juventus on 30th September 2008, having been set up by teammate Igor Stasevich. On 22 December 2009, Lech Poznań signed the Belarusian midfielder from FC BATE Borisov until June 2013.

Robert Lewandowski - (born 21 August 1988 in Warsaw) is a Polish footballer who plays as a striker for Lech Poznań and the Polish national team.

In 2006-07 Lewandowski was the Polish third division's top goal scorer with 15 goals, helping Znicz Pruszków win promotion. The next season he was the top scorer in the Polish second division with 21 goals.

In June 2008 Lech Poznań signed him from Znicz for 1.5 million złotych.

He made his debut for Lech in July 2008 as a sub in a first round UEFA Cup qualifier versus Khazar Lenkoran from Azerbaijan. In that match he scored the only goal of the match. During his Ekstraklasa debut in the first game of the season in a match against GKS Bełchatów he scored a heel flick goal just four minutes after coming into the game late second half.

Lewandowski has been attracting the attention of many clubs from top European leagues. In June 2009, Birmingham Mail columnist Colin Tattum revealed that Birmingham City were tracking the striker to partner new club record signing Christian Benítez.

In December 2009 English Tabloid newspapers also linked Fulham and Blackburn Rovers with Lewandowski, with both clubs looking to expand their squad-depth.

Anita Włodarczyk -(born 8 August 1985) is a Polish hammer thrower. She holds the world record at 77.96 m, achieved in Berlin 2009.

Włodarczyk won her first national U23 championships in 2007, and went on to compete in the 2007 European Athletics U23 Championships, although she did not managed to progress beyond the qualifying round. She finished sixth in the hammer throw competition at the 2008 Olympic Games.

Włodarczyk qualified for the 2008 World Athletics Final and won a bronze medal. The following year, she took part in the 2009 European Team Championships, winning her first gold medal at a major international competition.

Włodarczyk achieved a personal best throw of 76.20 metres, achieved in 30 May 2009 in Biała Podlaska, beating her previous record by 81 cm and improve 76.59 m in Golden Spike Ostrava. Prior to the 2009 World Championships in Athletics, she produced a national record-breaking performance in Cottbus, winning the competition with a world-leading 77.20 m throw. This was fourth longest throw by a woman in hammer throw.

On 22 August 2009 during the World Championships in Athletics in Berlin, Germany Włodarczyk set a world record with a throw of 77.96 metres (255 ft 9 in). She twisted her left ankle during her celebration. Jacek Zamecznik chief of instruction PZLA in interview said she can throw over 80 m.

Justyna Kowalczyk - ( born 23 January 1983 in Limanowa) is a Polish cross country skier who has been competing since 2000. She won the bronze medal in the 30 km freestyle at the 2006 Olympic Winter Games in Turin, becoming the first Pole to medal in cross country skiing at the Winter Olympics. She also won the overall 2008–09 Cross-Country Skiing World Cup. She is the first cross country skier in history that has won the World Cup and has never participated in any World Cup event in her own country.

He is considered one of the best and most successful ski jumpers of all time. Małysz has won 38 World Cup competitions; in the history of ski jumping only Finn Matti Nykänen has won more (46). Małysz is the only ski jumper ever to win the World Cup 4 times (with Matti Nykänen) and 3 times in a row - that is why he is considered the best ever ski jumper, by some. Apart from the WSM, Pudzianowski is a fourth kyu green belt in Kyokushin kaikan karate, and has also trained as an amateur boxer.

Mariusz Pudzianowski faced off against fellow MMA newcomer Marcin Najman in a heavyweight match-up in Warsaw, Poland as the headliner for KSW XII. Mariusz won the fight in 0:44 of the first round by tap-out due to punches.
The Pudzianowski-Najman fight was one of the most anticipated Polish fighting sport events in years.

Before the fight Mariusz said: "Ta ręka niesie za sobą śmierć, a tej drugiej sam się boję." (English: "This hand brings death, but the other one I am even afraid of.") According to the press, Mariusz will collect for this fight 200,000 PLN ($70,475 as of 11/12/2009 exchange rate), his opponent four times less that amount.

He was world champion in 1995 (20 km), runner-up in world championships in 2004 (also 20 km) and bronze medalist in 1997 (team competition).

On February 25, 2006 he placed second in the 15km mass start at the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin, winning the second and final medal for Poland in those Olympics.

A 6'11" and 240 lb center, he is the son of boxer Janusz Gortat. He was a second-round draft choice of the Phoenix Suns in the 2005 NBA Draft and was traded for future cash considerations to the Magic. Gortat started his career in ŁKS Łódź, then he played 3 seasons in RheinEnergie Cologne in Germany's Basketball Bundesliga. RheinEnergie Cologne won the domestic championship in 2006.
