Ok It`s time to solve the riddle which I gave you yesterday. The answer is NONE (!).Yes,no language has more words than English (800,000).
To sum up yesterday note about varieties of English : -er is American (center) but -re is British (centre); -or is Am (honor) but -our is Brit (honour),-l- is Am (traveling) but -ll- is Brit (travelling). :)
And now,the weather is cloudy, unfortunately.I hope that it will be better on the holiday.I finished vacuuming carpets (odkurzać dywany) and now I don`t know what to do.I`m going to read a book but later.I was in a library yesterday.I checked a few books out (check sth out-wypożyczyć).For example : 'Sto lat samotności'Marquez (he is an Columbian penman (it is the same as writer-pisarz),furthermore(ponadto) he is a laureate of Nobel Prize),also 'Kiedy Bóg odwrócił wzrok'Wiesław Adamczyk (he survived the Second World War),'Ting Xing-Ye'(she was a victim of cultural revolution in China) and 'Buszujący w zbożu'Salinger.
So I have a lot of choices :)
Just one week divides(dzieli) us from holiday. This school year was really successful for me and I`m very happy because I`ll get report (świadectwo szkolne)with honours (z wyróżnieniem)-in our country it will be a white and red flag on the report.Because of this I can choose a book I want to have so I chose 'Harry Potter and the philosopher's stone' because I have a Polish version.
Yesterday at school we were playing country-city-countryside game (państwo-miasto-wieś).And we couldn`t find an animal which name starts on U letter.Today I found in one of my book about snakes URUTU - it`s the Latin American snake (the most aggressive snake in the world). And do you know any other animals start on U ??
